The Manitowoc Ice IDT0420A ice maker can produce 470 pounds of ice in 24 hours. This maximum amount can only be achieved if ambient air and incoming water conditions are at an ideal level. It makes full-cube ice, which is often used for soft drinks and other fountain beverages. This unit uses air to cool the refrigerant, and when it is cold, it removes heat from the evaporator plate so water will freeze and make cubes. This Manitowoc Ice IDT0420A full-cube ice machine head is operated through an icon-based touch screen and can be programmed to turn on and off at certain times of the day or by ice production amount. Featuring R410A refrigerant and self-diagnosis for preventative measures, this head utilizes an acoustical sensing probe to gauge how thick ice is before dispensing. With a quick-cleaning DuraTech® exterior, this unit includes a removable water trough, distribution tube, curtain, water probe, and water pump. Note: This unit must be paired with an ice maker bin or ice dispenser.
