The IR-4-E electric range has four burners, and so food and debris won't spill into the burner, these elements are sealed. It's also easier to move pans over sealed burners than open ones, and to maximize contact with large pans, the elements have a diameter of 9 inches. \n \nThe base of the IR-4-E electric range is equipped with a space-saver oven that accommodates one standard sheet pan, and this oven's element is protected from splatters by a screen. To ease cleaning, the sides, deck, rear, and interior door surfaces of the oven are made of smooth porcelain. \n
